I also wanted to reply to the recent posts on this subject.  I truly believe
in the role of breastfeeding in proper palate formation but genetics must
play a role as well.  I am a LLL Leader and my 15 year old has had a palate
expander and  braces.  He was not weaned until 2 and 1/2 years of age.
I am fairly new to Lactnet and am enjoying the diversity of subject matter
addressed.  Julia
