The rationale is that women will not come in at 6 weeks for a check-up, so
will not get the shot. And it is certainly  true that many mothers do not
choose to make it to the 6-week appointment, but my point is, and always has
been--that is their right. I find it utterly amazing that in all of the
debate and political division about what is appropriate for health education
for children in America's schools, teaching kids about fertility awareness
and topics such as LAM is never on anyone's agenda.
