Dear Dianne,
It would be worth getting swab (moistened with sterile water first) of
mothers nipples and a 10mL sample of breastmilk (express a few mL first then
catch the 10 mL) for microscopy, culture and sensitivity. Just in case it is
all due to a bacterial invasion.
