Hi Karleen,  I cannot imagine how hard this situation is.  This may seem
low tech, but would a simple vegie scale work.  They are at least accurate
to the ounce!!  I saw one used on Call the midwife just tonight.
I worked with the Medela baby scale for years..... We needed to make sure
it was calabrated, and even then nurses would have a hard time working the
pre and post wt function.
