Anne,
Thank you for collecting these latch-on and general bf tips in one place.
The animated latch video at http://www.breastfeedingmadesimple.com is just
what I need to reinforce my teaching to a mom whose baby needs to feel
something on the palate before he'll get the signal to close his mouth and
suck.

The first site you gave from the UK shows mothers' feet planted flat on the
floor - something I find very useful when there are great difficulties with
latch. Photos also show the babies' chests touching their mothers, which I
find also helps to signal baby to open wide. An alternate site showing these
same photos, but smaller, without the confusing text on weaning later is
http://www.breastfeeding.nhs.uk/inhowtobf.asp .

Thanks,
Anne Grider, IBCLC
