Great job, Cindy! Isn't it gratifying to get such a speedy and positive
response?! I checked the new blurb, and e-mailed the good doctor with my
praises for his responsiveness and willingness to update his info, and I
included the following:

"The only further suggestion I would make would be to add a sentence
recognizing the existence of lactation consultants, who truly are
specialists in breastfeeding, and reminding your patients that skilled,
experienced, caring help is available to them if they need more support or
assistance than your practice can provide. It's an advantage to any
pediatric practice to be able to refer to a lactation consultant - saves you
and your staff hours of time, as breastfeeding problems are often
time-consuming and difficult to evaluate in a regular office visit, and
provides a service your patients will greatly appreciate. As you no doubt
know, there is no happier patient than the one whose ability to breastfeed
her baby has been "saved" by appropriate assistance when necessary - and no
healthier one than the baby who is healthy, thriving, and growing on
mother's milk!"
