We wouldn't sound like radicals if we all said the same thing--as often as possible. In the meantime, I'm more than willing to sound like a radical. The problem I see is that once the baby has received the unecessary AIM in the hospital or per ped's "orders", it is hard to have this conversation or for the parents to see why a few more ounces matters. Avoiding that first feed of AIM allows this information to be more readily accepted. And, of course, talking about it before the birth makes it most readily accepted. OTOH, getting HCP's to hear it is a whole other issue.
