WELL RESEARCHED SIMPLY PUT AND EASY INDEX.  GIVES EVIDENCE
good for beginning undergraduates  pocket sized and cheap  $12  Aus dollars

Akre J (Ed)  l990 Infant Feeding The physiological basis  supplement to
Volume 67 l989 of the BULLETIN of the WHO  written by a doctor with good
panel  physiology section particularly good.  Biochemistry good thin book
also cheap
 $ 20 Aus dollars.  would be better if updated.

Renfrew M, Fisher, C and Arms S.  l990  Bestfeeding Getting Breastfeeding
Right by You  Berkely California:  CELESTIAL ARTS  Recommended by Ruth
Lawrence.  Best pictures I know of for positioning.  good for parents and
for professionals written by leading British experts.   Reasonable price  1
inch thick

Books for Midwives Press   Thin book evidence based short concise easily
read chapter for the professional    $24.00 Aus  dollars

 Lawrence R.A  l994.  Breastfeeding  A Guide for the medical  Profession
4th Edition    $95 Aus Dollars  Essential in any library   Heavy to carry
needs to be guarded in case of theft!  Important carries some discussion
about Australian practice.

Riordan, J. and Auerbach  K.G.  l993.  Breastfeeding and Human Lactation
Boston:  Jones and Bartlett Publishers.   Heavy to carry  needs update but
essential also for lactation consultants needs to include Australian
practice for use here.

Odent, M.  l992.  the nature of birth and Breastfeeding.  Westport Conn
Bergin and Garvey  gives a lighter feel to it all but great reading.

I have written a thesis on ethics and breastfeeding. related to Autonomy
held in Monash Library Melbourne  Australia.

Hope to publish one day.
