I wonder if the wording of "growth slowing" has more to do with the lack of
space as the weeks gestation progress as well as the sharing of nutrition
supporting that growth.

My twins were born just shy of 36 weeks and though they did not require
oxygen, or other medical care, and never left my side, in terms of
breastfeeding they responded very much like preemies for several weeks.  I
was very glad I'd read everything LLL had available on multiples and
preemies, as it did truly make a difference to be prepared.

I do recall the same naysayers, and I do believe they merely strengthened my
fortitude to prove them wrong.  :)  I'd be happy to provide personal support
when the time comes if you need another BTDT mom of exclusively nursed twins.
