Sorry, Heather, while I agree that observation of several aspects of
the way the breast and the milk flow 'behave' may be part of the
picture,  I don't think this addresses Claudine's question. This
person went up to women in a support group and 'squeezed' some of
their nipples, which is not an effective way to express as we know,
and doesn't give any information about milk or milk transfer to the
baby...more than that, it seems to me a potentially intrusive
behaviour. She does not appear to have explained why she was doing
it, or Caludine would have heard a justification instead of being
left puzzled, and I infer, a little uncomfortable.
