Dr. Wight, are you saying that babies birthed and gathered up into
mother's arms while in a squat/supported sitting position is not a
"natural process" and results in anemia if the cord is not immediately
cut?  Can you please explain?  How do you define "natural" process?
Historically, scientifically?  I'm a bit confused on that.

It seemed most natural to me to birth my children semi-squatting with
back support, gather them up to my breast (well, to look at and behold,
they naturally found the breast) and while busy with that, the cord
stopped pulsing and then was cut. None of them were the least bit anemic.
 I'd be interested what statistics or study you have as I have not heard
this stated before.
