Heather, this is an example of GFI mothers following older editions from
Prep/BW. It will be a delicate counseling situation for you, since she
appears to be a part of the 'true believer' remnant. If you are still able
to call her back, you might ask her what edition and year of Prep/BW she is
using. If it is prior to 1998, you might gently explain to her that the
newer editions call for more frequent feeding intervals (2.5 hours to 3 hrs)
and for "context," e.g., feeding a slow weight gain baby more often. (I
always joke that apparently God has had a change of mind regarding what
constitutes 'biblical parenting';-)

Since she is using it for religious reasons, it may not matter to her that
the UK took a solid stand against the Ezzos when they went over there in '99
( a partial list of the articles against them follows):

In my opinion, GFI is stepping up its marketing efforts overseas, as a
result of the losing popularity here. Its marketing strategy is analogous
to that of tobacco companies: go where there is no bad press.
