One quickly describes a mothers OB history by her gravida status (number of
pregnancies) and parity (number of births) Thus a women who has had 8
pregnancies currently pregnant with her eight, two preterm children, 1
abortion or miscarriage and 6 living children would be Gravida 8 Para 4 2 1
6 or for short G8p4216. Thus g2p2 means two pregnancies, two births (if all
the derails arent given its sort of assumed they were fullterm and living.
