It's time to get those keyboards clicking. The May issue of Good Housekeeping has a stupid article by a Dr. Nancy Snyderman, MD. The page has a big bottle on it and the headline is "When to Bring on the Bottle." She refutes the AAP guidelines and says "In my mind, a year of breastfeeding is a lofty goal. You can strive for it, but if you fall short, don't let your friends or neighbors make you feel irresponsible. My feeling is that nursing is worth the hassle for six months. Many of the benefits are imparted to the baby's immune system during that time. Besides, you may find that after six months or so, your baby wants to gulp his milk out of a bottle. When I started giving my littlest one formula along with breast milk at seven months, he realized he could get milk faster from a bottle and dropped me like a hot potato!"

Isn't that sad?
