hi i am a long time lurker, first time writer.i am a LLLL first in japan now
in calif., i have 4300 hours towards my LC
i have worked as a LLLL in japan for 4 years and ran into their " small
breasts small milk" trap daily. i would tell them " it sounds like your
breasts need be emptied more often to help them send the signal to your
brain(implies more than just breasts are involved) to make more milk
tomarrow"( implies it won t be fixed overnight)i also like to tell them to
find a bottle nipple that looks like their nipple(they never can especially
if they are flat) this gives me an in in descibing nipple confusion.
i love reading lactnet, it is great to here other people raising kids the
way i grew up. i was nursed till i was 5 my brother till he was 4 and my
sister til 4 1/2.my family believes you should nurse till you get all your
"meat teeth". we had a family bed, just like i do.
