At the hospital I work one of the staff was informed by a parent that they
noticed the formula they were given was expired. When the staff notified the
pediatrician they were advised that formula was still good up to 6 months after
the expiration date.
This is so amazing how this pediatric group is so casual with formula
expiration dates but alarmed at the mother ingesting any medication with potential
harm to the infant. :-(
Can anyone give me some data to counter this claim?
Thanks,
Ann Perry, RN IBCLC
Boston, MA
