I'll echo what Susan said below. When it comes to protecting babies th
ebiggest issue is preventing others (mostly outsiders) from doing harm. With
the recent earthquake in Yogyakarta they were awash with infant formula and
nearly all babies were given powdered milk (rare the mother to actually
refuse it). This was because aid workers and donors were unaware of the
issues. We can raise awareness so that those who do the work know what they
are doing!
