course a little bit educational for the children and their parents. I would
like the activity to relate to babies, breastfeeding and/or parenting.>>

Jane:

1. a very simple BF crossword puzzle, answers displayed somehow on a poster,
so basically hunt a little for the answers then fill in the blanks.

2. a lively, in costume ( complete with doll in sling) reading of the book
called something like "my mommy is breastfeeding our new baby" available thru
CBG i think or probably amazon. Have nice music playing in the background.

3. you could then ask questions and give little prizes for the right answers,
figure out how to arrange so that everybody wins.

4. make up some coloring pages of moms and babies BF

5. a bowl of BF facts - child reaches in to a pick out a fact, they or you
read the fact, the color of the paper matches a prize or choice from a group
of prizes...........or you make them an airplane or something out of the
paper.

6. Acronym game: colored paper with the word BF in large letters along the
right border for kids to add baby related words to.

7. have rocker, pillow and dolls for positioning and burping practice -
diapers and swaddleing blankets too.

8. A simple matching game, or maybe BF related such as momma and baby
mammals for individual kids or in teams if possible.

9. toss the bra pad into the nursing bra - points are assigned to different
size bras - *more* points acquired for smaller the cup sizes due to degree
of difficulty in landing a pad :-D (see archives for a post on BF related
baby shower games and adapt to parents and/or little kids)

10. call a local high school theater arts dept and hire a kid or two who can
come and help you entertain - joofy costume, juggle, magic tricks, balloon
amimals.

11. nursing pillow game: shoes off- cover floor with secured sheet - pillows
set up like tires that football players step/run through - see which dad can
step/run thru a set of nursing pillows the fastest. winner gets a
neck/shoulder/upper back massage.

12. nursing pillow game: put a nursing pillow over your head and try to pass
it to the next person - without touching it with your hands- to get the
pillow over the next persons head.........

13. breast balloon game: get some of those breast balloons from Medela - hold
a balloon under your chin by pressing your chin down towards your chest -
pass the balloon from one person to the next in this manner without touching
with hands.

14. Toss the pacifier into the trash cans game: three sizes of trash cans -
more points for getting the pacifier into the smaller can.

15. Sling games: hmmmmm - hang up three slings arranging so that they have
different size openings - toss something through - breast model, balloon,
ball, bra pad. *OR* : slings have the same size openings, Parent could be on
one side, kid on other side, to toss and catch back and forth getting
progressively farther from the sling till one parent/child team wins by
getting the fartherest with tossing and catching successfully. *OR* if using
one sling and one parent/child team at a time, they win a prize based on how
far they got from the sling before not getting the object through the sling
or not catching it.

let us know when and where!
