for a good reason - it messes with mom's milk supply.  Re: odor ?  maybe 
related to shot or lipase in milk that is pumped.  Try lipase is your

I don't think lipase explains it as this was milk direct from mother's breast, not expressed or frozen. I have been told 2 things: one that baby nursed and then vomited; second that baby refused to nurse or to take expressed milk from a bottle. (I'm getting info from someone who speaks Spanish and is supportive and knowledgeable about breastfeeding but not trained in supporting breastfeeding. Sort of like knitting with mittens on.)
