I would also add to what Dawn said, about cardiac involvement. Baby  may need
more calories, but may have trouble getting them due to cardiac
compromise/bradycardic episodes/ increased work of breathing. I know Cathy Genna got a baby
off to a good start with really paced, small amounts via peri
syringe...perhaps this could be a tool in the feeding repertoire of this family?
