I should have been more descriptive of the "nodule". It appeared on the
skin, initially like a pimple, then grew over a few hours to look like a
blister the size of a quarter. It began almost immediately after starting
the antibiotics. I suppose it is technically a galactocele, but it's sudden
appearance on the skin after two weeks of mastitis was a bit unnerving.

(Elizabeth-Thank you for the ABM protocol, but I was looking for additional
suggestions beyond the protocol as nothing was working.)

The wound is not leaking milk currently, and the blockage appears to have
resolved for the moment. I have recommended frequent pumping and/or
feeding. But if it begins to leak milk, the OB wants to give medication to
inhibit lactation. I have not been able to find any research or protocol to
support that course of treatment, especially so early on. I'm hoping it
doesn't happen, but would appreciate suggestions in case it does.

Thank you!
