Dear Dawn:

Thank you very much for your post. I'm sure you know by now that it went to
me as well as Lactnet. But since I would have wanted to forward it to
Lactnet anyway, you saved me the effort! To add to your description of
mental health treatments that undermine breastfeeding and attachment: I
recall very well how in my clinical training one of the counseling goals
urged by one of my supervisors was the elimination of parents cosleeping
with young children. Had I known then what I know now, I would have been a
much more effective advocate of changing this.

I look forward to thoughts from others regarding my questions about mental
health and breastfeeding.
