Wasn't there a discussion on this not too long ago? I remember someone pointing out that the oxytocin released during breastfeeding wasn't as much as that released during intercourse, so of course the doctor is not going to allow intercourse, right?

I think the general consensus was the usual sacrifice of Breastfeeding on the altar of ignorance.... But do an archive search and I know the specific posts will show up!

Subject: Breastfeeding and In Vetro?

Recently I was told by a nursing mom (who is also a physician) that her OB
told her she had to stop breastfeeding in order for an in vetro
fertilization to work. The doctor told her that the oxytocin released during
breastfeeding would cause contractions that would not allow for
implantation. Therefore, as you wishes to get pregnant quite soon, she is
considering weaning her baby. Anyone have any information on this?
