    Annette asks about marijuana.
    Marijuana must be heated very hot to be  bioactive, which is why people
can't eat the leaves to get the  effects. The leaves must be cooked or smoked
first. The marijuana by-products in  human milk, while showing on an infant's
drug urine screen, won't have any  impact on the baby because they aren't
bioactive at that point.
    An adult person smoking marijuana can have a  positive drug screen for
2-4 weeks after using; at the same time, that person  will not be feeling the
effects except during the hours directly after  smoking or eating.
