Not in a healthy, normal birth. In fact, referencing Dr. Lennart Righard's
important work in the mid-1990's, an undrugged newborn infant who has not
been separated from his/her mother will instinctively and single-handedly
crawl up the mother's belly and self-attach to mom's nipple. Babies were
created with the drive to nurse immediately following birth.
