I took schoolexams yesterday and the day before as intern completion of the LC course I teach in Belgium (many of the examinees will also sit *the* exam in july). I had quite a debate actually with my co-lecturer/co-examiner about one BF Atlas picture I wanted to use as question (the one depicting the Tea-cup hold, chapter 7). I thought it was a nice exercise in creative thinking, she thought it was a rather bad idea using a technique like that (having a finger or 2 even somewhere near where some part of baby's mouth should be). I just sent her the links to the 2002 discussion we had on Lactnet about this same technique.
My point really is that I second all earlier statements about the Atlas being a very valuable tool for LCs and LCs to be, but that for some of our collegues some of the contents may be a bit of a no-no.

Warmly,

Gonneke,
Dutch IBCLC, living in germany, teaching in Belgium
