I wanted to relate a phone call I had today. The mom is a first time
breastfeeding mom, did not breastfeed her 14 year old daughter. She was
doing well in the hospital and on the first follow up call on Thursday, at
4 days baby was doing well. Today I made her second follow up call and
asked how breastfeeding was going. Mom laughed and said she had to tell me
what happened. It seems she got a sore breast when the milk came in and
was discussing putting the baby on formula with her daughter. Her daughter
said to her, "Mama don't you love the baby?" She said yes she loved the
baby. Her daughter questioned, "Then why are going to take away his
breast?" Mom decided to continue breastfeeding.......
