Karen-I do not normally recommend medications on my own, but in this case the
nurse-midwife was prescribing, and was soliciting my help. We perused Briggs,
the AAP listing, and Lawrence for supportive data. I believe she decided to
go on the safe side and just prescribed the pseudoephedrine (Sudafed)
decongestant, and if the mom worsened, she would consult the MD. This seemed
to be an acute URI, and not allergy related.
