The information that I give to mothers is 72 hours in the refrigerator.
However, our NICU only keeps fresh milk for 48 hours.  I don't know what
they base this decision on and I guess I will have to ask them at the
next breastfeeding resource team meeting.  I hadn't given it any thought
really.
