The physician is wrong.  The mother can breastfeed.  The doctor should look
in the CPS (Canadian equivalent of the PDR) in the lilac pages and s/he will
find out it's just fine.

1. the amount the baby gets is negligible.
2. we treat babies with metronidazole all the time.
3. the risks to the baby of stopping feeding are greater than the risks of a
tiny amount of metronidazole in the milk (in this case because a 13 month
old may not take kindly to stopping for 10 days).
4. the mother (not the doctor, not me, not you) decides, based on reliable
information.
