Rosalie discusses elements of the IBLCE "Minimizing Commercial Influence
on Education" policy,
http://www.iblce.org/upload/downloads/CommercialInfluenceOnEducation.pdf,
 which
eschews funding from commercial sources *unless* it is labeled as
unrestricted, and the recipient-conference-host agrees to acknowledge but
not thank the donors (See FAQ for 3.8, at
http://www.iblce.org/upload/downloads/CommercialInfluenceFAQs.pdf).

She asks, "How come this wasn't brought up before with the discussion
about the Code of Conduct?"

Because the Minimizing Commercial Influence on Education Policy, while
approved by IBLCE on 26 March 2011 with an effective date of 1 Nov 2011,
was not released to the public until September 15 2011 (see
http://www.iblce.org/news-from-the-board). No stakeholder input was sought
on *this* IBLCE document. While created by IBLCE during the same time
period as the Code of Professional Conduct, and certainly containing
overlapping principles, they are separate policies.
