 I have no research evidence.  However, mothers I counsel report this
effect. I suggest more frequent feeding at this time - or if the baby
refuses, increasing solids for the days (usually three) that are affected
and then increasing breastfeeds/ reducing solids.  (this usually begins
after six months) Sometimes extra time S2S such as co bathing while the
supply is poor helps to maintain the breastfeeding relationship.  The
problem appears to moderate over time.
