My oldest child (son) was 9 months and still exclusively nursing when I got
preg. with my second (daughter) Surprise! I hadn't had a period or anything.
So,  he continued to nurse just as frequently till about 12 months when he
started to eat some solids, then cut back a little. He nursed entirely
through pregnancy. I had her when he was 18 months old (she was 37 1/2 weeks
gest). They both nursed freqently. He wanted at 2 1/2 years old.
Unfortunately, doing everything her brother does, she weaned at the same
time! Only she was around 15 months.
