Susan,

Grated carrot... I love it.  When my children have a raging ear infection I
make an ear oil containing garlin and grated carrot for the older ones or
50,000 ius of beta carotene for the little ones.  Pain  and infection are
gone with in 12 to 24 hours!
I can believe that carrot would work on sore nipples.  My favorite "herbal"
for sore nipples is calendula in ointment (all ingredients edible of course)
or tincture.  Is that available in Canada?
I sure wish stdies could (would) be done on these things>
