Hi all!

Yet another situation I'm not sure how to handle. One week ago mother was
bitten by black widow spider on her back. Her baby is one month old; 9#.
Haven't seen her (either) but mother reports that the woulnd is nasty and
still oozing. Her HCP has her on penicillin for the bite and has told her to
pump and dump the milk for an indefinite period of time. She is scheduled for
a "surgical review" in two weeks and also c/o breast closest to wound site
"pulsating." Any marvelous suggestions? How long does it take for black
widow spider venom to clear the mom's body? Seemed pretty forthright until
the part about the breast pulsating. Certainly would not want to jeopordize
the baby by letting him have poisoned milk! TIA.
