If a baby is exclusively breastfed and mom and dad want to go out one
evening, is there harm in feeding the baby one bottle of formula? Baby is 5
weeks old and was just introduced to bottle this past weekend (was fed
breastmilk with bottle). I realize that pumping and giving breastmilk by
bottle that evening would be the ideal but mom can't seem to pump much after
baby is done eating. Therefore, she doesn't have much stored. Just
wondering if there are any issues I need to share with her about feeding
formula once in a while.

Please email me privately. Thanks in advance.

Warmly,
Bethany Johnson, RD
