But there are times when we don't have to look it up.  We just have to
take those 60 seconds and think (God forbid!!).

Heparin would not be a problem for nursing mothers!  Why?

1. it is a big molecule and even low molecular weight heparin is too
big to get into the milk.

2. it is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, so even if it
got into the milk, it would not get into the baby's blood.

Thinking along these lines often helps when the book is not around.
