Anne Kaeser:

You are not dreaming. At least one study has suggested that adults with
Crohn's disease were less likely to have been breast fed, implying breast
feeding provides some protection against the development of Crohn's disease.
My co-authors and I suggest this in our chapter on Crohn's disease in
Sleisenger and Fordtran's textbook "Gastrointestinal Disease" (Fifth Edition)
on the top of page 1275. We based our opinion on a 1989 article by Koletzko,
S., et. al. from the British Medical Journal volume 298 pg 1617 entitled:
"Role of infant feeding practices in the development of Crohn's disease in
childhood."

I hope this helps.
