Lactnet is a fabulous international resource, and I thank Lsoft for
supporting us.

Lactnet is a place where we can share knowledge, find a colleague, look for
resources, and more. As breastfeeding care providers, we're (mostly)
overworked, underpaid, isolated in our communities, misunderstood and
under-appreciated. Yet we are doing some of the most critical work in the
world - helping mothers and babies establish and maintain breastfeeding.
Although I don't read Lactnet every day, I find something of value every
time I check back in.

There is no other resource for those of us in this work that is as timely
and user-friendly as Lactnet. That comment does not diminish the other
excellent resources in our field, from the Journal of Human Lactation to
websites like ILCA and the CDC to high-quality professional textbooks. The
very openness of Lactnet allows room to discuss cutting-edge, unusual, and
just plain new experiences pertinent to our work in a relatively safe,
honest, and respected forum.
