OK, now my next question - What does herpes look like on a nipple?

A mom has reported to me via phone contact that she has a yellow
blister-like object on her nipple. It does not seem to cause her a great
deal of pain, but is a concern. I initially thought this might be a bleb,
or a plugged duct. She has tried to remove a layer of the skin over the top
of the plug herself, and nothing happened. She's been doing the warm, moist
heat and nursing for 2 days, still nothing makes it go away.

I asked this mom yesterday if she has any hx of herpes - she told me yes.
She was taking Zovirax at one time, and lesions were around her mouth. She
also has not had an episode of herpes in 5 years.

Her baby is 11 months old. I will see mom on Monday. Does anyone recall a
herpes blister looking yellow like this?

Thanks,
Brenda,
Flagstaff
