Dear Barbara and Everyone
        This TV video showed up in a health center last Fall.  A copy of one of their
broadcasts has been given to the National Breastfeeding Committee. It is
blatant advertising, direct marketing of product to a vulnerable audience, and
is sent out from CNN.
        It gives only the most token mentions and views of breastfeeding, and then
goes on to promote formula. The health center is primarily full of refugees
and immigrants, who can't understand the audio and only see pictures of
bottles and formula. Drives me nuts. Can't unplug it, can only turn it down or
off. Have done that sometimes. But people in waiting rooms see a TV monitor
and turn it on because they are there a long time, and bored.
        The director of the clinic where I teach (in Philadelphia) has no idea how it
got there, and is too busy to bother about it. It is an epidemic., a modern
