Hello, this is Kate Sharp, IBCLC retired from my NYC practice, residing at
the shore in New Jersey, for now.

Over the years, I've been involved with workplace lactation programs. I
have always struggled with using the quite toxic spray for cleaning that is
recommended by the pump companies (Cavicide,usually), but since that's what
the companies recommend, I've used it. I'm most comfortable with wipes or
sprays that use herbal formulations. I am now helping maintain some
workplace pumping rooms, and I'd like to know if there are other people who
have the same questions as I do, and perhaps, more informed answers!

Interesting to see that Lactnet has been around for 23 years.  I have too;
taking the exam in April to recertify, and hoping to keep some employment
going in the wonderful world of breastfeeding for some years to come.

If you use a workplace lactation room or if you maintain one or if you just
know something about cleaning products, I'd love to hear some thoughts.

Thankfully,
Kate Sharp
