 Sorry I can't address tooth extraction exactly but I "nursed" my daughter immediately after her tonsillectomy.  I put it in parenthesis because it was more like latching with a few sucks.  I would think that if this was a problem then it would be way more so for a tonsillectomy with what I am fairly certain has a higher risk of hemorrhage. I would trust the kid if he latches and it hurts he will either detach or just hold the nipple in his mouth.  I would think there would be some discomfort with nursing if suckling is doing any clot dislodging.
