Ellen - congrats on your daughter's new baby!

I know we have discussed this before here, but it's worth
re-visiting, I think: the only ethical way to get rid of unsolicited
formula is to send it back whence it came, postage to be paid by the
recipient.

Mothers and babies who are clients of the food pantry need protection
against the harmful effects of 'free' formula as well. Giving it away
to someone else is doing the companies' work for them!! Even if the
mothers are already fully ff, it's not right.

We have many issues with formula promotion in the UK (and elsewhere
in Europe), but fortunately, it is illegal for mothers (bf and
formula feeding) to be sent or given 'free' formula, and it has been
this way for many, many years - in fact I don't think we ever had the
situation where mothers would be sent, uninvited, cases of stuff.

This is one battle I am so glad we don't have to fight, and I don't
envy US bf supporters in coping with this extra struggle.
