The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (Nafdac) is to probe multinational oil companies implicated in the maladministration of medical treatment to their workers.

The director-general also threatened to deal with some food manufacturing or importing companies who were in the habit of giving pregnant or breastfeeding mothers free infant formula -baby food - with the aim of luring them to substitute their natural milk with baby milk.

According to her, nursing mothers should reject such "Greek" gifts as they were purely marketing strategy being devised by the multinational food companies to sell their products.
