I have already written several notes I will be posting over a period of time
on Lactnet pertaining to the presentation I will be giving at the ILCA
Conference in my beautiful home town of Kansas City.

The purpose of the notes:
1 - To challenge you (as if you need any more challenges!) to think in a
medical / scientific way as to what happens when a baby is NOT breastfed.
 The notes will also help you understand the "branches" in Maureen Minchin's
"glossopathy tree" - page 195 in her book "Breastfeeding Matters"
2 - To give you references as to how you can educate yourselves on these
points.
3 - To formulate questions that you can ask at the conference - I will be
available throughout the conference for your questions.
4 - For those not attending the conference - I will be giving you enough info
that you  can work out the answers yourself.
5 - My main goal is to arm you with enough information so when the next
person tells you "breastfeeding is not important" - they better watch
out!!!!!!
6 - If you do know of any articles that fit any of the topics, I would
appreciate it if you would mail me a copy by snail.  I want enough
documentation that NOBODY can stay "there is nothing written on this"!
