Thank you for your suggestions about the use of a nipple shield on a baby
with a short tongue. This case is pretty frustrating, and the mother's
resolve is starting to go... The baby's tongue is short, barely makes it
to the gum, and looks a little bit like a heart... except that *no*
frenulum is visible !!! Mom is thinking about pumping and giving a
bottle until the tongue grows, and the baby finally gets the message to
open wide. Could she do just that and try "once in a while" ? What would
this "while" be ?
