Hi All! I sure do enjoy all the lactnet info I read daily!! Iwould love to
recieve info on nursing after mgso4. (magnesium sulfate) All the pedis at my
hospital keep mom from nursing for 24 hours after being on mgso4. I know that
is too long, but I need documentation to back me up!! Also to the person who
wrote about the baby who spits up on breastmilk: My son had a condition
called colasia, basically a floppy valve on the top of his stomach. We joked
at our house that we could think of no item in our home that our son had not
thrown up on!! I actually had to borrow clothing to get home one time because
he drenched me!! We never tried abf, but is it possible that because it is
heavier it stays down better? After 6 months when my son started on solids
the spit ups lessened considerably and we continued our nursing relationship
for quite a bit longer with less laundry involved!! Hope this helps a little.
