I am a dietitian and also am a multiple sclerosis patient. At six weeks
postpartum I had a flare up/exacerbation of my disease. It was treated
with three days of 1000 mg of intravenous methylprednisone per day,
followed by 6 days of a prednisone oral taper. I have found no information
regarding breastfeeding on these extremely high doses, only recommendations
to discontinue BF until 24 hrs following the last IV dose.

THis is what I did, but I pumped during those three days of high dosages
and followed the information in Dr. Hale's book for breastfeeding during
the 6 days of tapering. I labeled and froze samples from each pumping
session (about every 3 hrs) and I am eager to have these samples tested for
prednisone levels to help other MS patients in similar situations.

Does anyone have information on facilities or interested parties in these
samples?
