but with fish, the risks of the real thing are significant.  i'm
probably more conservative than most, but as a family, we don't eat any
fish except wild salmon from Alaska. i'll eat sardines, but no one else
will.

also, sometimes much more fish oil needs to be injested for specific
benefit b/c of ratios of omega 3:6 in the diet.  the more i read the
more I realize that in the human body, ratio's seem to be more important
the overall intake of 'x'.

this probably hasn't been shown yet, but i'd bet someday, it'll be more
about the ratio of AA: O3, than just AA intake.  fe, one problem with
the current meat supply is the fact that animals are fed grains and this
changes the EFA profile of the meat *significantly* in harmful ways for
humans.

while grassfed beef and pastured chicken is expensive, for me it's not
quite as expensive as wild salmon (most times of the year).   I think
daily fish is just too risky if most typical kinds of affordable fish
are used.  however, i know that my personal opinion is most conservative
on this.

to get the kind of benefit I was looking for, I initially had to do a
huge loading dose of fish oil to quickly replace what my body needed
(O3) where there was probably harmful DPA and other o6's in the cell
membranes and other tissues.  once I did this, results were rapid.   for
various inflammatory issues (not RA) but the beginnings of OA and just
some other stuff, I had to mostly go off of grains, seriously increase
my intake of veggies, practically quadruple the amount of O3 I was doing
and well....too many other things to list here
